Dropdown Variation Change URL

    I have a client site using Woocommerce, products are listed with variants in the product listing (variants aren’t separate products), there is only one attribute.

    When viewing the product and you select a variant from the single dropdown the URL does not change, I can see from the basket you can follow a link back to the product but with the variant attribute selected (through the querystring).

    Is there an extension or is it possible to simply switch on selecting attributes from the dropdown to change the current URL – many thanks!

    the URL does not change

    The automatic URL generation on variation field selection isn’t part of how the core WooCommerce plugin works. If that’s indeed a must-have, you’d need to have that custom-developed by a web developer or customization expert as seen as https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.
