• Hey everyone,

I just started working for a Real Estate company which are now transitioning from Drupal to WordPress. I’ve been able to help in most of progress and its nearly done. The problem here is they have a custom Drupal module they would like to implement in WordPress as a plugin. So far I’ve done a lot of progress. However I wanna know if its possible to “translate” specific Drupal functions to WP ones (using the WP Codex as a guideline). Is it a good idea? Any thoughts on this, has it been done before?

    Many thanks

    Andre

  • Since most people here don’t know Drupal, your question doesn’t make much sense.
You can write code to do whatever you want.
The Code Reference is easier to use than Codex.

    Hi @joyously,

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I know I don’t know Drupal very well, I always go for WP. I’m using the Codex as reference, I just wanted to know if its “doable” or I’m just wasting time and should just rewrite the code from scratch instead of trying to implement Drupal code.

Don’t we all? I’m just saying that the people you are asking don’t know Drupal, so can’t answer the question.
There are a couple of Real Estate plugins already. You should search around the plugin repository before you write a bunch of code that’s already written.
