dTree & Expand Comments problem with Permalinks

I want to use the functionality of both these plugins:

(1) WP dTree plugin at https://www.silpstream.com/blog/wp-dtree/
(2) Expand Comments plugin at https://nymb.us/?page_id=45

(A) The dTree feature which I need is when I click on a post link, it expands the sidebar Category and Archives trees to that post and selects and highlights it.

(B) The Expand Comments feature which I need is that people can view and add comments right from the main page by clicking the Expand Comments.

Now what happens is when I have the Permalinks set to Date and name based, the (A) feature works well (i.e. it expands and highlights the post link in the tree) but the (B) (Expand Comments) feature does not work. And when i set the Permalinks to the default ?p=123 kind, then the Expand Comments features works perfectly but the dtree plugin does not open and highlight the post links in the tree when the page is loaded. I tried asking for help to the coders of these two plugins but nothing much coming so far.

My blog at https://www.naam-yoga.org is presently with the Date and name permalinks so the Expand Comments link does not work on the home page as you can see. I will be grateful if anyone has any tips or ideas on how I can solve this one and get them both to work with the same permalinks. Thanks again for your time.
