Running version 3.8.1 of The Events Calendar and Version 1.0.0 of The Events Calendar Outlook Import Fix. Running Outlook 2010.
When I export, I get the following errors:
Task ‘Opening calendar “iCal-TribeEvents.ics” reported error (0x00040023) : ‘The VEVENT, “[Event Name Redacted]”, defined near line 8, contains a floating DTSTART. Outlook supports floating time for all-day events only. Double-click to open this item’ I’m getting the same error, only the parentheses contain 0x00040020. Other lines referenced are 23, 38, and 53.

I’ve tried opening the item and saving a copy to my calendar, but that doesn’t seem to work either. I either need to be able to fix this, or I need to be able to hide the download/export button.

My apologies – I did look in the forums and saw a few threads, but I’m still fairly new at this and not a lot of it made sense.

    Thanks!

    Hi ssopp,

Thanks for getting in touch. If you are having trouble with The Events Calendar Outlook Import Fix, you’ll need to get in touch with the developer. That is a third party plugin and not supported by us. But the developer is super friendly and will hopefully be able to help you out ??

    Best,

Sorry again – No, this issue is with your plugin as it predates instillation of The Events Calendar Outlook Import Fix. I just tried adding that per some forum responses.

    Hi ssopp,

Thanks for confirming. Can you please test for a conflict with any of your other plugins, just to rule it out?

If you can isolate this as an issue that’s inherent to The Events Calendar, we’d be happy to look into it further. Unfortunately, we can’t help troubleshoot conflicts here on the free forum. If you do find a conflict, you can try getting in touch with the developer of the theme or plugin and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

We also have some resources that might be helpful for you in troubleshooting a conflict:

? Themer’s Guide – provides an overview of how to customize the plugin’s frontend appearance.
? Tutorials – useful tips and tricks for changing how the plugin looks and behaves.
? Technical Docs – provides an overview of the classes and functions in each plugin

Good luck, and thanks for using The Events Calendar!

Luckily this is a recently launched site, so I have the same setup in my developer space. I can say for certain that this isn’t a conflict with any other plugins nor the theme. I have turned off all other plugins and switched to the TwentyFourteen theme and I am still experiencing the issue.

    Howdy ssop,

Since you appear to not want to publicly share your website/event names, a notion I thoroughly understand, would you mind contacting us pro [at] tri.be to continue this discussion? If you could include a link tot his thread so we know what its in reference to, and a link to your site where I can see the problem.

I am not seeing this currently on our demo site for example. Here is one such event: https://wpshindig.com/event/milwaukee-wordpress-wednesday-4-2/2014-11-05/ The dstrat appears properly formatted. No idea why you are seeing an error. A third part plugin could be at fault, but if you have faithfully followed the conflict test procedure Leah linked to, nie times out of ten that rules it out. Thanks for posting!

    – Brook
