I need to ask PMP a question. I have a business listing website.
I must create thousands dummy users, as I need to assign a “company” to each one. In normal conditions, a real user would be able to create/claim a company only if he has purchased a subscription, so these dummy users would be registered as free. Is it possible to assign them the company but disable any editing capability? In other words, each user would have Admin role.

    Hello @arsenalemusica,

I am not sure why you want your dummy users to have admin capabilities. There is a plugin available called Roles For Membership Add On which can help you achieve this – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/pmpro-roles/

    >>Is it possible to assign them the company but disable any editing capability?

Are you looking to add a custom text field that only admins can edit at checkout or on members profile page? If yes, you are able to use the Register Helper Add On, this is a free Add On – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/pmpro-register-helper-add-checkout-and-profile-fields/

The link above also has some code examples on how to add additional fields to checkout/profile etc.

    I hope this helps.

Let me try to clarify what I mean ??
The reason why (I think) I’d need admin capabilities is because only admin can create/edit “companies”, whereas free users don’t. I need to treat my users as if they have paid for a subscription (I would create the users and assign them a “company” each). In other words, I need to fool PMP into treating the dummy users as if they are paid subscribers. I just need to relieve Admin to have all those companies on his back.
No, I don’t need to add a custom field.

for a start, I found both official and unofficial plugins to import the fake users. Now I need to understand the possibilities about assigning companies but that might be a theme’s option.

    Hello @arsenalemusica,

I still do not understand what companies you refer to, but I am glad to read you found the Import Users from CSV Add On to be useful here.

Hope that helps get you started.
