Duotone image woes

  • Hey folks. I’ve seen duotone and monotone theme strings but none with a real resolution. I was able to get Duotone theme to work on my self-hosted site! Here are the steps I had to take. You will see that it is FAR FROM ideal!

    1)add new post to wordpress.com site
    2)export website (by creating new user and later deleting it, I can limit export to one post)
    3)On my .org self hosted site, I have to change the theme to WordPress classic 1.5
    4)Import the xml file onto .org
    5)change the theme back to Duotone.

    Shouldn’t have to be this difficult. Anyone have this working where the photo fits into the proper area?

    The 5 steps give me this result (what WordPress.com site looks like and also what this one should produce without the hoop-jumping):
