    Hello,
I have Profile Builder set up on a client site and we noticed that the same avatar appears multiple times in the Media browser, making it difficult to find other images. I checked and it appears there are multiple ‘attachment’ posts, all pointing to the same image file. Now I don’t want to remove the duplicates, because I think this would result in the loss of the image file as well.

    1. Can you prevent your plugin from creating duplicate Media posts?
    2. How can I clean the Media library without losing image files? I tried two plugins: Media Cleaner and Media Deduper, which both report “missing image files” even though they exist on disk.
    3. Can you implement a way to filter out avatars in the Media browser?

Let me know if there is a way to provide log/debug data to you.

  • Hi,

What version of Profile Builder are you using? If you are using a premium version please submit a support ticket because we are not allowed to offer support for paid plugins on these free forums.

Users are using the Avatar field in order to upload their Avatar? I tested this and the sizes do not appear in the Media Library. In the Media Library you can see 1 Avatar per Upload. Are you using an older version of WordPress or another plugin that may change how the Media Library works?

For the moment we can’t prevent Profile Builder from creating duplicates.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards,
