• Hi, Since upgrading to a new Theme, the categories and subcategories have duplicated? No duplicate categories can be found under the admin section and products seem to be unaffected. Does anyone know of any specific files and where in the database I need to look to find out why?

The link provided is a staging site which doesn’t effect the live shop.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @wizz99

Your staging site is behind a login, and per the forum guidelines, we’re not allowed to ask for login information. It’s best to make it public, so everyone can visit the site and try to help you.

That said, since the issue started after changing your theme, and the categories are duplicated on the front end only, this is very likely to be coming from your theme. I recommend, to verify this, switching to another theme and see if the error ceases.

@hegenberg thanks for your reply. Sorry I should have known that access to the site was restricted. When I change to any other theme the duplicate doesn’t occur.

    Hi @wizz99

When I change to any other theme the duplicate doesn’t occur.

Thank you for the update. Now that you know the issue is linked to the theme, I’d suggest reaching out to the theme developer and report the issue – they should be able to point you in the right direction.

In the meantime, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you have any other questions regarding the core WooCommerce features, feel free t start a new topic.
