• Hi. This is the first time that I am thinking of using AMP and I wonder if implementing this functionality would lead to duplicate content taking into account that the the same content is accesible through different urls. I refer to the original url and to the one generated by AMP adding /amp to the slug.

I would really apreciate if you could shed some light on this.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

• No. Google fully expects there to be the usual version of the page or post and an exact copy with the amp extension using AMP code.

It is NOT a duplicate content problem in any way.

You will see that in the code for the AMP version there is this line:
<link rel=”canonical” href=”https://example.com/”>

That line of code communicates to Google that this is an AMP version of that original page and that you are being a kind and cooperative member of the internet community by providing an AMP version to be served better to mobile users. You are welcome.

Hey @berbercito

Thank you so much for using AMP for WP.

We use Canonical Tag in AMP, hence there are no chances of Duplicate content issues.

whatever @lancecarr said is absolutely true. ??

Thank you so much @lancecarr for helping AMP community.
