Duplicate course on a course category page.

when I uncheck the box where it says “tenses” (the category name) in course options, the page displays just one course after refreshing the page. I did’t create this category in WP categories. I created it in the lesson options. (by the way it would be great to have a lessons category too.)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @dilshodwordpress,

My guess is you very likely have the shortcode [lifterlms_courses] added to the content of the page you have saved as your course catalog page in the LifterLMS settings.

The course catalog page is a placeholder for the course archives. This mimics the functionality the WordPress core provides for the blog page as specified in your WordPress core settings. This blog page outputs a list of your blog posts and our course catalog page outputs a list of your courses.

Our catalog, however, provides you with the ability to add content above the automatically generated list of courses. This will allow you to add images or text. You can’t do this on the core blog page but you can do it on our catalogs.

However, if you add the shortcode which also outputs a list of your courses you’ll end up with two lists of courses.

Can you double check whether or not my assumption here is accurate — and if it is just remove the shortcode from the catalog page and you’ll be good to go.

You are right. When I removed the shortcode it worked. No more duplicates on category pages. My workaround was:

    1 remove shortcode
2 create a new category “all courses”
3 add all courses to that category
    4 replace [lifterlms_courses] shortcode with [lifterlms_courses category=”all-courses”]

Guys, you can put other attributes of the above shortcode like sort order, number etc. Refer to LifterLms website for info.

Thank you very much for your support!
