Duplicate domain name at end of URL

Do the links work fine on your site? Are you using a plugin to create your site map?

Yea, the links are all set up fine on the site. I use xml-sitemaps.com as a generator. It’s always worked fine.

Thanks, although the sitemap generator is not the cause of this issue. Turned out it was malformed links that were placed in posts throughout the site.

You need to have “https://” place before every link and it has to be the entire URL. If it’s just “www.thesite.com” in your then Google bots will read this as a page name in your root directory and thus it results in :

“https://www.yoursite.com/blog/postname/www.yoursite.com”
