Duplicate Email notifications

Have that installed, however it seems that we only get duplicate emails when a customer uses PayPal as checkout method.

I checked it several times with Prepayment and both sides only received one email as it should be.

Does anyone know how to check this issue?

Which email is it? To admin or customer or both?

I don’t know for certain, but 2 plugins we see causing conflicts quite often; Germanized, and WPML. Worth ruling those out?

as stated in an earlier post, I got the exact same problem. I am using Paypal as my only gateway. I havent updated to the most recent verion of WC, so this might have come with the previous version…

aovivo please don’t post in other user’s threads – the other one was about customer emails, this is about admin emails. Similar problems but not the same, and nothing that can be reproduced with just core installed so far. You should also note emails send on status changes only, so view your order notes to see what/who is changing statuses. Post your own thread if you want to discuss further.

margsenjo, they don’t need to be turned off permanently, just long enough for you to do a test. I can’t really trawl through there source code and guess what might cause it – easier to just do a quick test.

I have now gathered some new information:

When there was a failed Paypal transaction, the payment was not completed, there was only one email.

Now I just received an order which was completed via Paypal express and I received two confirmation emails again.

It seems to be related to something with paypal..

From the order notes, can you tell me the status changes that occurred?

Changed order status from pending payment to processing.

Looks fine. You should see if any manual status changes or emails are sent from the paypal express plugin you’re using. You’re not using ours so I cannot check.

Hi,

I think it’s related to the change of the order status.
Once the status changes to “Processing” there is a mail sent out to the admin.

I am guessing that I receive the “New order” mail + the change of status in the very moment when Paypal confirms the payment, which explains why the mails are sent at exactly the same time.

Would you happen to know how to change that?

View paypal express source code to check. This doesn’t sound correct because the initial status of the order would be pending, and no emails send on pending.
