We seem to be receiving duplicate emails of resume submissions. The email is being sent form wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager-resumes/includes/class-wp-resume-manager-email-notification.php from what I can see.

An example of this is a resume was submitted on Wednesday, of which the email was successfully delivered. The same email was then sent again today. This has happened on a number of occasions.

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any idea what this may be?

    Many thanks, James

  • Are you using the emails add-on by chance? If not, it sounds like there’s something up with your hosting server. Are the emails exactly the same? View the source of the email and you can see the exact date and timestamp and what email server sent it, should be in the headers of the email

    Hi tripflex,

Thanks for coming back to me. No, we’re not using the emails add-on for this. From what I can see, the emails appear to be sending from the wp-job-manager-resumes plugin.

That was my first thoughts, but I’ve checked the headers and both emails have a different date/time, and a different message ID, which leads me to believe that it’s something from within the WordPress application that is triggering the emails to send again (there are no crons set up for this website).

I thought perhaps the user had made a change to their resume and that had triggered it, but I’ve diffed the emails/attachments and both emails are identical.

Hmm that’s odd. Can you try installing this plugin to get more information about the emails being sent?
