• I’ve noticed that in version 4, the banner that appears at the top of the page “File successfully replaced” now shows duplicate banners for files replaced previously in other browser tabs.

Of course this isn’t a big deal, but just to let you know.

    Hi Iain,

Can you please show us one or two screenshots of what you mean?

    Here you go.

It appears that it shows duplicate banners for files replaced of the same type previously in different tabs of the browser.

I also have noticed that it is significantly slower to replace files since updating to 4, but perhaps I should start another thread.

    Hi Iain,

Thank you for the information. I’m not sure I understand the “in different tabs” behaviour. Would you mind telling us step by step how to reproduce the issue?

For the slowness replacing files, yes, we will appreciate if you could start a new thread ??

    Thank you!

From the media library, I open all the media to be replaced in a new tab, I go to the first tab, replace the file, then switch to the next tab. By the time I get to the final browser tab open and replace that file, it will display a file updated banner for all the previous files replaced in the previous browser tabs.

I’m sorry, Iain, but I can’t reproduce the issue. I only see one banner on each tab.

Can you try again with all plugins deactivated (except Enable Media Replace, of course)? I’m thinking maybe something is caching those messages.

Another option is that you are using an old version. Are you using version 4.0.0?

    Best,
