    Good morning

I need help with my H1 tags please. If my site title is set to a heading(H1) in the Outline section it results in duplicate H1’s as Blue Brits Cattery is the H1 for every page.

However, I made the site title a paragraph (not sure how else to change it to not be H1), and adjusted every page outline to have the main heading as the H1. Then it results in my SEO showing all pages’ H1 tag is missing and the H1 in wordpress shows up as H2’s.

I hope that makes sense? How can I fix this?

    Thank you!

    Hello Elize,
While I’m glad you figured it out, let me explain for others who might have the same question:

When using the block theme, you’ll want to make sure you have only one H1 tag per page for good SEO. Usually, this means:

    • Your page title should be H1
    • Site title can be set as paragraph or H2
    • Other headings should use H2-H6 accordingly

You can check and adjust these settings in the block editor’s sidebar, or choose your heading level from the Block Toolbar. Here’s more info about heading blocks: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/heading-block/
PS: Nice work solving this on your own – that’s a great way to learn WordPress!
