Duplicate H1 tags for site title and page/post title

Multiple h1 tags are perfectly valid HTML 5 structure and are part of _s (Underscores), the starter theme used by Sela.

There should be no issues with this SEO-wise, although your client’s SEO person may choose to disagree. ??

You could remove the tag if you wish, using a child theme, so your change isn’t overwritten every time you update the theme to the latest version. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:

ash_forever – you can search through the theme files to find any instances of h1 you’d like to change, depending on where specifically you want to remove them. I recommend using a multi-file search tool like Text Wrangler, Sublime, or another code editor.
