Duplicate H1 Tag

Interesting point…although having multiple H1 tags is not an issue, having a heading tag around the site title is something that can be eliminated. It’s not just my theme either, it’s many others including the default WP themes.

In fact, your comment, by coincidence, is something I thought about last week with my next new theme I’m developing, which no longer has that. On future updates for Longevity and other themes I have, I will more likely make that change, including a few other items.

No. Having multiple H1 tags is an issue. I kinda love your this Longevity theme overall look and feel. Many theme developers have made the same common mistake, duplicate H1 tag.

I could have modified it with Child theme. But, I care enough to have posted it here, created an account and logged in.

I know it shall be easy to modify from your end as an official update to the theme.

People who know about SEO, would not choose your this theme, given the problem I mentioned.

Please provide the quick change as pages get indexed by Google pretty quick these days.

You can verify my point on Internet. Please let me know if it’s going to take long for the next update of this. I would need to change theme if so.

It’s actually in my update I’m uploading tomorrow.

The update longevity 1.2.8 is uploaded and waiting on the theme review team’s approval. If you are in a rush to have this implemented, you can get the new version HERE by downloading the ZIP but you will need to manually upload and replace the theme files with the new ones. If you do this, please make sure you make a copy of the existing one first and keep it somewhere if anything goes wrong.
