duplicate homepage (displaying all posts)

I am trying to figure out how to duplicate the main page that displays all posts.

I have the homepage that displays all posts set to appear on a specific page; I want to create a second page that also displays all posts, I just want to edit the query so that they are displayed in another order on this new page.

I have tried to make a template page and copy over the index.php content but the posts do not show.

Any ideas? I’m sure it has something to do with the way the Frisco theme is set up with a hack for the homepage in the customization menu.
