Duplicate ID

    HI,

    I know Duplicate ID for WCAG has been raised multiple times before, but afraid solutions mentioned there are not working, for me at least. So with Astra 4.1.5 I get, using duplicate ID:

    #ast-hf-menu-1

    As suggested in the other thread on Duplicate ID, I tried using off-screen canvas. Doing that I get further errors, two duplicated ID’s:

    #primary-site-navigation
#ast-hf-menu-1

    I thought this had been resolved a while back. So the question is how do I resolve this? Shouldn’t the code be using classes rather than ID’s if they need to be repeated? Or am I missing something?

    By following what mentioned in the thread you shared above, it should fix this duplicate ID issue. We had a few users reported the same and the same thing fixed the issue on their sites. Not sure why it’s not working for you.

    Would you mind sharing your site URL, so we can check from our end?

    Afraid can’t share the URL as it is on a local test/dev server.

    I’ll try it again and take some screenshots.

    I am still getting the error on the site I was testing, however setting up a clean test site I cannot replicate at present so assuming there is something else going on with my set-up. Will assume, unless investigation shows otherwise, this is an issue on my set-up.

    I can’t tell anymore further without taking a look at the site. Is there any possibility making your site that has this problem going live?

    The issue seemed to have disappeared but am now getting it again. The other thread I linked to previously mentioned using “Off Canvas”, is there a tutorial/guide to setting that? In mean time will reset my test set-up just incase I have messed something up.

    So resetting the installation seems to have got rid of the issue. Will mark as resolved.
