Duplicate images in some news

    After installing the plugin, duplicates of the first image appeared in some news on my site.
    If you enable “remove duplicate images”, then everything becomes normal in these news, but the first images disappear in other news where the images were not duplicated.
    All news have the same format. I can’t understand what the plugin is reacting to, causing the first image to be duplicated in some news.

    The name of the plugin is FIFU, not Yoast SEO.

    1. Disable FIFU > Settings > Image > Modify Post Content > Add Missing Media.
    2. Purge the cache.
    3. If that doesn’t work, also disable FIFU > Settings > Image > Optimized Images > Optimize Secondary Images.
    4. Let me know if that solves the issue; otherwise, send me a post link.

    The duplicate image has been removed.
    Why does the plugin add a duplicate image (smaller size) when the material already contains an image?

    Internally, the plugin doesn’t know if your theme is displaying a featured image or not. So when you enable FIFU > Settings > Image > Modify Post Content > Add Missing Media, you are informing the plugin that it should add the image to the post content, which may cause duplication if it’s unduly enabled.

    Found another news item. When you disable this setting, the image disappears. When turned on, it appears. I can’t figure out how they differ. (((

    I think I found an option:
    The settings “add missing media” and “Hide main media files” are enabled.
    I’ll leave the settings in this state for now.

    Both posts you sent me have images, and only one image each. I don’t understand—where’s the issue?
