    Hi,

Thank you for this great plugin.

    I’m having a few issues…

    1)
On upload, the plugin creates a duplicate of the jpeg image, with the extension ‘bk’.

    image.jpeg
    image.bk.jpeg

It’s not created right away, but after a few minutes, like it’s queuing a cron job or something…

    2)
When Convert on Upload is activated, it also creates a jpeg thumb with the size 1200×800.
    No idea why.

    3)
Would be great to have the option to bulk convert / regenerate only certain sizes and maybe from a certain period, like last month.

    Best Regards,
    Jovan

Ok, now I see that the duplicates of jpeg files are created on bulk convert as well.

It happens after about 5 minutes or more, after the conversion.

WebP Express does not create backup files or jpg thumbnails. 1) and 2) must be due to another plugin. I had plans to create a more flexible way to bulk convert in the file manager interface but ran low on finances and got myself a full time job so unfortunately I will proablt not be able to implement new features. I shall however continue to maintain the plugin. The plugin is open source and I gladly inspect and merge contributions

    Hi,

    Sorry. You are right.

LiteSpeed Cache was creating the .bk files.
I turned on WebP creation a long time ago.
But, since it was not working, I forgot.

The thumbnail image-800×1200.webp is created by the Imsanity plugin.
I use it to process images on upload: resize, compress and remove original.

    Sorry for the false alarm.

    Thank you

    Regards,
    Jovan
