    Hi!

    Even though I didn’t create a second listing, there are several times when the calendar has created a ‘second listing’. When I try to delete the extra, I get an error “Location could not be deleted”. I was hoping to have a list of locations as a sort of directory.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    I haven’t yet been able to figure out why duplicate listings are getting created. I have resolved the problem with deleting locations; it’s possible that will also solve your issue, but since I wasn’t able to recreate it, I can’t say for sure.

    If it is still happening, I’d appreciate step-by-step instructions for what you’re doing that results in the duplicate location. Thanks!

    Sorry for the delay. I wanted to give it a few days to see if it repeated.

    It seems to be fixed, but there doesn’t seem to be a way for me to edit the permalink. Ace Hotel, for example, is https://geekylosangeles.com/mc-locations/ace-hotel-downtown-los-angeles-2/.

    Also, any thoughts on adding categories and/or ‘location description’ as an option?

    i am using around 7 different locations for my events,
    unfortunately every location has a number of occurrences in the location table, some of them between 20 and 30, with different id’s;
    i could try delete them but i might delete an id that is used in an event;
    and how could i check the id number that is used by an event?
    however, more interesting is the question why did all these occurrences show up in the location list? and will it keep growing?

    by the way, this strange behaviour was not alwways like this, it started to happen some week ago;
    i am using the latest version of mc

    And another issue returned with locations: some time ago in list view the ‘show location’ remark appeared next to the name of the location;
    after a tip of you, Joe, this was fixed but now it showed up again, not for every location! some locations show up in the browser list view correctly, others show the extra ‘show location’ field again;
    it seems that locations with a lot of occurrences (see previous post) do not have this issue but locations with just one occurrence in the location table do have this issue; i just added a new (test) location and yes, this location also has the unwanted ‘show location’ in the list view of the browser after publication;
    event example: https://www.nesepe.nl/agenda date: february 6 test werkkamer

    I just opened a separate Topic for the last issue that I mentioned about the ‘Show Location link’, hopefully I made myself clearer there.

    Hoping that 3.3.8 will stop the duplicate location problem. I found a method that triggered duplicate locations, but I don’t know for sure that this is the issue effecting this.
