Duplicate logo + errors in Customizer

  • Straight-outta-the-box I’m getting a duplicate logo at the top of the page in WordPress’ Customizer view.

    If you add a logo image, publish changes, exit, and revisit Customizer you’ll likely see the same. WordPress throws error messages (“Something went wrong, try again”), but I’ve noticed it doesn’t stop the page from updating.

    Weird! Not a huge deal.

    (Note: I’m running a WordPress install with a local Nginx development environment, haven’t tried anything else, I must confess)
