duplicate menu_order
-
Hello,
I’m getting the same value twice in menu_order even though I’m moving the items around, which is really strange. Any idea? i display the menu_order into a custom column to show that

Hello @signelazer,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Is it possible to send us some images with your settings and also with the issue you encounter? You can upload them here via Imgur.
Warm regards,
Beatrice.
I’m experiencing the same behavior. Some posts have the same menu_order value and often the menu_order value is different than the actual menu order. As an example, here is a screenshot of the posts list. This is unfiltered – just showing all posts.
And here is the post data for these posts. Note that there are duplicates of menu_order values 6 and 7, but that these actually correspond to menu_order values 1, 2, 4, and 5.

)Thank you for your help with this!
Hi there,
Can you please let me know how you created those posts? Are they duplicated or created by clicking on ‘Add New’?
Warmly,
Beatrice.
Hi, it’s appear when you created a new post for me, the new one is with 0 and the last one too, but very strange, sometimes 2 posts are the same menu_order like the post before 7 and 7, maybe a caching for wordpress? or others posts menu_order are not updated i don’t know
I am experiencing this same issue. I move posts around in admin and see that the order is not always correct on the frontend. When I go into the database, I see that the cause of this is that there are posts that now have the same menu_order value. But shouldn’t the menu_order values be updated to prevent this issue when I sort posts in admin?
