Not sure where the problem lies, so could do with being pointed in the right direction!

I have a site that has Jetpack and All in One SEO and has some pages built using the Nicepage page builder.

Jetpack, I think, should automatically disable its own generation of og tags but it doesn’t seem to be doing so, so the ones I set with AIOSEO are being ignored as they appear above the ones I think are being set by Jetpack. AIOSEO does not detect the duplicate tags for some reason. Is there a way to force Jetpack to NOT generate og tags?

However, I wonder if it might be an interaction with Nicepage? I use Nicepage for some pages but I simply use the TimyMCE editor for some simpler pages (eg the About page) but I’m getting the duplicate og tags on these pages so that would seem to point to it not being a Nicepage issue.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

    Hi there!

The best way to find out the culprit is to disable all plugins but the one you suspect. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one, checking after each.

In general, if you’re using another plugin that adds the OpenGraphs, the one from Jetpack should be disabled automatically. Here you can read more about that:

    Thanks for that, fresatomica.

I’ve also posted on Nicepage’s support forum (as I suspect that’s what’s causing the issue) but I’ll debugging today and try that way of forcing Jetpack to disable the tags.

I Ah. It’s not Jetpack at all: I disabled the Jetpack plugin and I’m still getting duplicate og: tags. Must be a Nicepage issue.

Sorry to bother you and thanks for the help!

You know those times where you missed a setting that does exactly what you think was missing? There is a setting in the customizer to stop Nicepage adding its own og: tags – I had completely missed it! Mea culpa.

Haha, that happens more often than you think! ??
