    I am having an issue where orders are duplicated in Woocommerce.
    At random times the most recent orders will be duplicated, new orders are created and new purchase confirmation e-mails fired as if they were, in fact, new orders. The costumers are not re-billed and the orders are duplicated only in WordPress.
    The duplicates are created sometime hours or even days after the original and the same order may be duplicated up to 5 or 6 times.
    I am using Zombaio as a payment gateway.

    Hi there,

    Duplicate orders can sometimes be caused by a theme or plugin conflict. Here is a link to a detailed doc on how best to troubleshoot this type of error.

    I would also suggest confirming that the Zombaio payment gateway extension you are using is compatible with the version of WooCommerce you are running.

    Hi;

    Thanks, that of course is a possibility but we’re a talking about a live site and I don’t know what trigger the duplication; sometime it will happen days after the initial order. So switching off all the plugin and reverting to a base theme for testing just won’t work in this case. Can u suggest any way to narrow the search down?

    I totally understand the difficulties with conflict testing on a live site. With that, a staging site would be a great way to troubleshoot without affecting your customers. There is a great free staging site plugin that will allow you to build a complete staging site with a few button clicks.

    Without the staging site I would suggest making sure that all of your extensions are up to date and also that your theme is up to date and compatible with the version of WooCommerce you are currently running.

    To narrow it down a bit further, I’d also look for any plugins on your site that would be involved in the checkout process, including payment gateways.
