Duplicate orders/payments due to page time out

    Using Woocommerce connected to Stripe for payments – Order processing page is timing out when people order, and also charging some customers up to 5 times for the same order. Does this have to do with Woocommerce or could it be the theme I’m using? Any help is appreciated from anyone who has had the same problem or knows what’s up.

    Hi there!

    Looking over your site’s system status report (thanks for including that), it looks like you have quite a few outdated extensions as well as outdated theme template overrides. My hunch is that something is conflicting with WooCommerce and Stripe. Here’s how to test:

    First, you’ll want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then test. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you. If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one to see where the issue is coming from. If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

    I’m also experiencing the same issue, sometimes the checkout process times out and the customer thinks the order failed so he places another one.

    Did you solve this? Some pointers would be appreciated.

    Did you test for conflicts as I mentioned to @jessmfelt?

    I’m not able to replicate this on my test site, so conflict testing is the first step here.
