I have a post that when, in the past, I would duplicate it, the permalink would look like this

    myblog.com/postname-275-2

I would change the 275-2 to 276 and save the permalink and update the post.

    Now it shows

    myblog.com/postname-117

The number which shows at the end of the post is from years ago, not the past posts number.

Is this what the new update is causing or supposed to be doing? TYIA

    Hey @tammya1999,

When you duplicate a website then it clones original post to new post example: if your post slug if “test” and when you clone it then it will generate an auto slug to “test-2” and if you clone “test-2” it will generate post slud “post-2-2” not “post-3”.

    Regards,

It’s not doing that anymore. I use to until the latest update. I duplicate the same post each week and just change the post number in the permalink from EX: 2-2 to 3 and the description.
