Duplicate post leads to duplicate meta fields and keys in child

    When I duplicate a post using the plugin, the newly created post contains duplicate post meta values and keys. Consider the following example of a post with id 17696, with 1 meta field names “_filled”:

    After duplicating the Post, a new Post with ID 17397 is created. This Post ID has two meta fields named “_filled”:

    This duplication occurs again when I duplicate the post again, which would lead to even more duplicate post meta fields. There are more custom meta fields which are duplicated when I click duplicate, the “_filled”-field is just an example.

    What is the cause of this and how can this be resolved?

    I have the same problem in my website. The clone feature is used a lot by my users. This problem leads to posts with multiple metas created 4096 times and the back office crash for memory limit reasons.

    Has the cause of the problem been identified?
