Duplicate posting using MS Word

  • Hi-

    My client only will post to WP using MS word. He occasionally gets duplicate postings when he does this. Is there a way to stop this? He says this is critical for him. One thing to note is we went from http: to https: , but this shouldn’t be making it do duplicate posts when posting from MS Word. Thanks.

    NOthing. You can just log into the website from word and post. There is no plugin.

    That’s not standard functionality, so there’s got to be some connection between Word and the site.

    I have seen a few things that do this, but they are all set up in very different ways, so there’s no one way to accomplish that. That’s what we’d need to know how the connection works before anyone would be able to offer any real suggestions.

    Without knowing that, the best that anyone coudl say would be to check out the connection and see if there’s two connections set up instead of one. As you’ve changed the URL it is possible that who ever set it up has added a new connection instead of editing the existing one.
