    Hi,

Under Duplicate Record Preference, I am choosing Create New Record with the submission.

However, this still fires the Duplicate Record error message and doesn’t let the user continue on the front end.

Shouldn’t the error message only fire as you have described it: “If “Show a validation error message” is selected above, this message will be shown if a signup is made with a “check field” that matches an existing record.”?

    Hope you can help.

I just tested this, and I’m not seeing this issue here, so first check the settings again, just to make sure they took.

Also, of course, you must be using the latest version of Participants Database…not because this changed recently, but I want to make sure we’re both looking at the same code.

One of the things that can cause anomalous behavior like this is page caching, you should exempt the signup and signup thanks pages from page caching to make sure that the user is getting a fresh display from the site.

Also, certain kinds of server caching can cause settings to be sticky, so clearing any caches of that type may be needed also.

Let me know if it continues to be an issue.
