    Hi @shopkiansama

It seems like you’ve enabled HPOS with compatibility mode. Can you please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced> Features and check whether the “Enable compatibility mode” is checked or not? If yes, then this is expected behavir.

If not, this could be due to a plugin conflict or an issue with the order attribution tracking function. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I hope that helps! Let me know once you have done a conflict test!

Hi ?? We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

I have this same problem – I have 125 orders with duplicate order_attribution postmeta. In one case I have an order with 1000 _wc_order_attribution_session_entry entries in the database (order attempts from a fraudster trying fake credit cards against the Braintree credit card gateway.

Why is Woocommerce creating double entries for the same order/meta_key? This seems like a bug.

I don’t have any HPOS settings enabled.
