I have a lot of code snippets in the cloud that are duplicated. They are not seeming to come from different websites. One that I was editing in a website was duplicated in the cloud and both cloud snippets had the changes I had made.

How do I prevent this from happening? How can I clean up my Vault?

  • Hi @mijstrebor
    Thank you for your message.

If it’s just a few duplicates, the easiest approach is to manually delete the unnecessary snippets from the cloud. However, if the issue is occurring frequently or with a large number of snippets, it might indicate a synchronization issue.

To better understand the problem, could you provide more details? For example, is there a particular sequence of actions that seems to trigger the duplication?

If possible, sharing a screen recording or Loom video demonstrating the problem would help us diagnose the issue more effectively and suggest a tailored solution.

There’s nothing I can report except to say that I have everything duplicated in my cloud. There are 92 snippets, and more than half are duplicates. Yes, I would definitely say there is a major sync issue. I need to clean this up, and a manual process seems exhausting.

    Hi @mijstrebor,

We are still investigating this issue and working on a fix on the cloud side to prevent further duplications when syncing snippets. We understand that having a large number of duplicates can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience as we address this.

In the meantime, if you need direct support related to Code Snippets Cloud, please reach out to us via Discord at snipco.de/discord. Our team will be happy to assist you there.
