Duplicate Tags being creted

  • Any idea why I am getting duplicate tags created?? For example, I have a tag called ‘Mathematics’ in blogs which I am using with school pupils.

    Sometimes when the pupil types the tag name, even if typed perfectly as far as I can see, the computer is creating a duplicate tag rather than assigning the posts to the existing tag with the exact same name!!??!!

    I am trying to get the pupils to type a few letters and then select the correct tag, but that’s not an ideal solution – any advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.

  • I just tested this on a 3.3.1 and a 3.3.2 install and I can’t duplicate the behavior. I tried putting spaces before and after the tag and it still didn’t duplicate.

    Look very suspiciously at your plugins.

    Cheers, s_ha_dum. It is certainly strange. I’ll keep on plugging away!! ?? If I solve this, or anyone else has came across this before, I’ll update this thread.
