  • Hello,

To get a better understanding of the site setup, can you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

Is the Log error messages setting enabled under
    WooCommerce > settings > payments > stripe > settings > advanced settings?

Please share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if any).

You can copy the logs here in your response, be sure to redact any sensitive information such as names, emails, etc. Thanks.

The issue seemed to resolve itself but all of a sudden we’re seeing lots of these duplicates once again on our woocommerce when customers pay via Apple Pay!

    Hi @chilliwax,

I see that you’re receiving duplicate orders when customers pay via Apple Pay.

Can you please share the System Status Report under WooCommerce > Status and any fatal-error or Stripe logs under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs as mentioned above by @ihereira ?

Also, can you please enable Stripe logging (if not already enabled) under WooCommerce > settings > payments > stripe > settings > advanced settings and test by placing an order via Apple Pay and see if a duplicate order is created?

    Looking forward to your reply!

This is happening again for us unfortunately. Duplicate transactions when customers pay with apple pay via stripe.

Customers apparently see a failed message so they attempt payment again. Then what happens is the first payment didnt actually fail and they end up having two payments made.

Extremely frustrating to say the least…especially because its now been going on years!!

    Hello.

Sorry to hear that the issue still persits.

To isolate the issue, please run a full conflict test:

If you would not like to run the test on live site, you cando it on a staging environment, for this purpose, we recommend WP Staging to set up a staging site.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe Payment gateway
    • Make a test order

At this point check if the issue is still present, if not, it means there was a conflict and you can reactivate the theme and plugins gradually one by one and check again after each reactivation until you find the culprit. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

If that does not help, please provide the System Status report and error logs as requested previously, so that we can check better.

Let us know if this worked for you.

The problem is, it doesnt happen with all orders.

So the above steps aren’t really going to help as chances are the order will go through ok.

I can provide the logs but im not comfortable providing them here.

    Hello @chilliwax,

I can provide the logs but im not comfortable providing them here.

That’s understandable, you can use a service like Pastbin or upload it to Google Drive and delete it once we’re done with it. ??

Hi, so you’re saying just post the link to the google drive here in an open forum?! It contains confidential customer information!

    (@babylon1999)

Sorry, I should’ve included this in my previous reply. The system status report shouldn’t have any sensitive information.

As for the Stripe logs, you can replace anything sensitive with XXXXXX.

    Same issue, Any solution?

    Hi @harshitczargroup

I understand you are experiencing the same issue and since every site is different and you’re not the person who originally started this topic then, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic?

We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    (@subscriptiongroup)

@chilliwax @harshitczargroup did you ever get anywhere with this? Did you figure out how to reproduce it?

We are also having the same issue but unfortunately this support forum is not the place to get support, because their “guidelines” are flawed to say the least. Their github is probably a better place to raise this

    Hi, @subscriptiongroup

While I understand your point, that the issue in your case could be the same, please note each site configuration is different, and the solution that might work in one site, could not work in another.

Please create your own thread for your issue – https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/#new-topic-0.

This is in accordance with our forum policies:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#i-have-the-same-problem-can-i-just-reply-to-someone-elses-post-with-me-too

Once created, please feel free to share screenshots of the issue on your end and the error logs received, that will help to investigate.

    We appreciate your understanding. Thanks.

yes started happening again for us now; it’s crazy that woocommerce are allowing these updates without proper due diligence and UAT. We currently have 2 issues with apple pay on our site: –

    1. duplicate payments – first one will deliver a “payment failed” message to customer even though it went through which means customer pays again causing a duplicate
    2. even though free shipping is selected, customer is still charged for one of the billable shipping methods i.e. express. So customer selects free but ends up being charged for the express.
