• My blog is creating 3-5 extra urls with main post url with ?post_id= parameter and Google search also indexing all these. For eg. see below urls, which are the Google Webmasters HTML Improvements for a single url.

    • /maharashtra-msrtc-recruitment/
    • /maharashtra-msrtc-recruitment/?post_id=3179&search_category=&search_label=&author=&no_redirect=true
      /maharashtra-msrtc-recruitment/?post_id=3179&search_category=&search_label=&author=
    • /maharashtra-msrtc-recruitment/?post_id=noID&no_redirect=true
    • /maharashtra-msrtc-recruitment/?post_id=noID

Any expert please help me to get ride from these.

  • Can you find them on your dashboard posts?
How does Google Webmaster Tools show them?
Do they appear in your site map?

    Your site URL?

    1. No i found them under HTML Improvements in Webmasters.

    2. Google webmasters showing them in Improvements

    3. Its nothing is appear in sitemap, only single post actual url present.

These parameter even ignored in URL Parameters and blocked by robots.txt but still these are present in Google search.

    Can you post your URL?

https://www.esarkarinaukri.org is the affacted site url. do google for site:esarkarinaukri.org post_id for seeing all these urls.

Check again HERE. More than URL duplications, I find that Google says description is not displayed because of robots.txt.

    Check it and report back.

I know that, but you can check my robots.txt file nothing like that. Even the title which is shown for these urls in search not correct. The title shown in google is the url of these duplicate urls.

    1. No i found them under HTML Improvements in Webmasters.

What is the exact words there?

    3. Its nothing is appear in sitemap, only single post actual url present.

Duplicate titles or other problems ruled out, is it not?

Now can you remove the robots.txt file and see what appears in search?

Its says 624 pages has duplicate titles like a single main url has 5 different parameter urls, screenshot available below.

Robots removed, have to wait many days to get actual results.

OK, can you submit a new site map also?

In fact recently there have been numerous cases of duplicate URLs created mostly by Google’s scripts themselves and any kind of duplicate URLs that actually do not exist will not affect you, as per Google’s own clarifications. You can find many such problems that were put up in these forums.

    Example:

But these parameter related to wordpress post_id.

OK, even if related to WordPress post ID, if the URLs actually do not exist, you need not worry about them. You will find the clarifications in your account itself. Please verify. If you do not find, I will locate some for you.

But these are increasing the total result count in searches, when i have only 600 posts, its shown 2950 total results. Don’t know why robots or url parameter doesn’t work for these.

Earlier such issue with ?replytocom parameter, which was solve by url parameters option.

But these are increasing the total result count in searches, when i have only 600 posts, its shown 2950 total results.

Did you check the URLs of 2950 total results? They are all not yours/ created by you/ your site.
