When I duplicate a block (in this case, a Group block), and set visibility differently for the original block vs duplicate, both always get updated to use the same visibility settings. This seems like an error? Thanks!

    Hi FriendlyWP,

Thank you for reporting this and I apologize for the issues. It does appear to a be a bug and is not the intended result.

In some quick testing, I found that if you save and refresh the page, you can then edit the duplicate content with no issues. That must be how I missed this in testing and it does appear to be a tad sporadic based on the block type being duplicated.

Of course this is a temporary workaround, and I will be looking to identify the issue more concretely and will followup once I know more…

Good morning @mmcginnis, I just wanted to provide a quick update. The issue has been isolated and I am working on a fix. The fix will be included in the next plugin release. When that is ready for download I will followup.

    Thanks again for catching this!

    Hi Nick!
Indeed, duplicated blocks share the same visibility rules (I’ve tested Query String), no matter if provided to the duplicate or original. When a block is newly created then keeps its own rules.

Thanks for confirming @ayek. The fix is in place and will be included in the 1.9 release on Monday! I will followup when 1.9 is officially public.
