Are you sure you only have one category with that name, or did you maybe create two categories with the same name by accident?

Yes I am sure. It used to work well

The following image shows the category table in the same page, you can see that there are not duplicated categories

You also can go to the site and see it, this is not only afecting to one category, but to several of them within the same library. Other libraries have the same problema

I have an idea of what could be causing this. Could you turn on debug mode under the general settings tab for the plugin so I can confirm my suspicion? Activating this feature will just add some debug data as HTML comments that visitors will not see.

    done

I am not seeing any of the expected output from debug mode on your site. Are you sure you saved settings after checking that box? Perhaps you have a caching plugin in place that is preventing the page from re-generating?

Have you had a chance to check why the debug data is not coming out as part of your page source?

    The box is selected.

It may be because my server provider recently installed a safety feature that affects this. I am facing similar problems with other plugins.

I will try to get in contact with them. There is any other way of you to get this information?

    Hi

Can you give me more details about how the plugin comunicates the debug data? My server provider needs to know that to see if this aditional protection can be affecting the plugin

The debug data comes out as HTML comments in the page output. For example:

    <!-- SQL Query: SELECT * FROM ... -->

    (@jackdewey)

I see that the debug data is now available on your site, and this showed me what the problem was! Go to the Links tab in the Library Settings page and set the Link Result Order field to be “Order by Name” instead of “Order randomly”.

Let me know if this resolves your issue. If it does, you can turn off debug mode.

    Hi
I have changed it as per your suggestion but it seems that the problem is not solved. See https://www.recursosenprojectmanagement.com/formacion-presencial-en-direccion-de-proyectos/

I also don’t understand why this may be related to showing the links by name instead of randomly. The problem is with the categories, not with the links inside the categories.

When you choose random, it shuffles all of the links, irregardless of categories. I guess I could implement a better randomization down the road so that it does it within each category.

Now, while the problem is not solved complete, it is much better than it was before. All links for each category are together, except for the special links that you created to direct users to the new link submission form.

That problem was caused by a bug in Link Library around featured links, which I just corrected in version 5.9.7.2. Please update and let me know if the output is generated as expected now.
