After latest Yoast updates, something goes wrong because Google Search Console started to show duplicated metadescriptions on paginated pages.

You can also see this issue at Yoast blog:

    URL: https://yoast.com/seo-blog/
<meta name="description" content="On our popular SEO blog, you can find articles on how to use our plugins, plus posts on content SEO, technical SEO, WordPress, social media, and much more.."/>

    URL: https://yoast.com/seo-blog/page/2/
<meta name="description" content="On our popular SEO blog, you can find articles on how to use our plugins, plus posts on content SEO, technical SEO, WordPress, social media, and much more.."/>

As you can see, the metadescription is duplicated and there is no option at plugin to no-index those pagination pages. This issue appears after one of the latest updates.

From Yoast SEO v7.0, the noindex subpages option is no longer available as Google now handles the paginated archives pages better.

That said while Google search console shows you duplicate meta description issue on paginated archives pages, it is perfectly normal and you can safely ignore this. Google will fix the duplicate meta description false notice for paginated archives in near future in their Google search console update.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I will wait until Google fix that.
