Duplicated page is gone

When you use rewrite and republish, the original content is replaced by the new content. So you don’t see the original post. If you are trying to access the old content after you duplicate, you can either use the options “New Draft” or “clone”.

As you can see, this is the original page. But it says in the yellow block that there has been made a duplicate of that page and that all changes in this page will be replaced when the duplicated version is republished. The problem is, that I cannot find the duplicated version anymore. It is not between my other pages.

When you use the Rewrite and Republish option for a post, you are allowed to edit your original post. There is no separate duplicate version that you can access.

You will see a notification at the top of the screen to inform you that the plugin duplicated the original post or page. You can then start rewriting the duplicated version immediately. Once you publish it, you replace the original one with the one you edited.
