• Hi,

we are using the TMC plugin in our corporate application. Generally everything works fine, but sometimes it happens that when the revision is published, it doesn’t replace the original one, but creates an independent post. It seems to happen randomly because we can’t trace it.

Is this a known problem and are you able to suggest where the causes may lie?

    Thanks

  • +1 to this, I’ve been seeing duplicate issues with this as well. I’m not trying to take over the thread just re-iterating that multiple people are having issues. My last comment got moderated which was interesting since this thread is a month old and has no response.

    Sorry for the big disappointment.

This is a problem that I am by no means personally encountering on clean environments and is apparently related to companion plugins that modify the post state on update.

We tried many times to reproduce this problem but we never succeeded.

This is something we just have to accept until WordPress introduces something like a query queue for post state changes. As long as something else overwrites the state of the entry or blocks the deletion of the duplicate – we can’t do anything about it ??

Again, I’m very sorry for ignoring this thread in the past. I’m really unable to influence collisions in post state changes.

Please give me some more time. I will try to contact the developers of WordPress with a proposal for changes to the core of the engine and we will get rid of this problem once and for all.

Hey, I’m experiencing the same issue with WordPress 6.2 and licensed plugin version. Did you propose any changes to the WP core as mentioned above? Can you share the trac ticket to atract more contributors and organise around solving this issue?
