    Hi,

First of all congrats for this plugin, it is the best out there, and i can say that cause i have tested many others.

That been said, since last update, I created one new store, and it shows duplicated, and I’m running the last version of the plugin + last version of wordpress. I’m absolutely sure, it is not duplicated in the wp-admin… you can take a look at it at: https://www.oxynergy.com/store-locator/ using as the location EGYPT.

There is just one distributor in that country but the results show twice the same distributor. Can you please help me?

    Thanks
    Kind regards

Update: I have tested that if i change the amount of results from default (3) to any other, it shows the correct info, and after that I can change back to default, and it is fine. So it is just the first time it shows the results…

Update 2: It also does the trick if after you input Egypt in the search box, (which it will show you 2 results, duplicated) you hit the seach button again, then it filters it correctly

Update 3: It just gives error, when inputing the country and then hit enter, instead of using the Search button.

Hope all this updates help you to identify the problem… thanks

I only see the result once, but I do see a JS error, and this error maybe results in the output being incorrect. Do you also see it if you check it in private mode in whatever browser you’re using?

Also ( not related to the duplicate results ) can you check if there is a pre or code tag, or any other HTML code around the [wpsl] shortcode in the admin editor. The text font looks weird, and this is usually caused if a pre or code tag is wrapped around it.

Can you disable the WP Super Minify plugin, and see if that fixes the JS error?

    Hi,

I dont know a lot about this things.

Same error on private mode YES.

what should i do with this JS error you are mentioning?

as fara as i know, there is no html around the wpsl shortcode…

I can give you access to the backoffice if you want…

Disabled, and no.. it still persists the error,,, i just installed the super minify this morning as google told me to minify my css and js…

    (@andresmolina)

I have disabled another plugin from same author of the minify that supposedly it is for:

Remove query strings from static content

Enable GZIP compression (compress text, html, javascript, css, xml and so on)

Set expire caching (Leverage Browser Caching)

    and still no changes…

regarding the preformated text, i thought same thing when i first used your plugin, but i thought it is okay, i will use that font, and style the rest by css…

I just installed the super minify this morning as google told me to minify my css and js.

The problem is that it sometimes breaks JS / CSS scripts. Can you either exclude the store locator page, or just leave it disabled for a moment. Do you use any other plugins that would need to load Google Maps? Any chance you can for a second try to disable all other plugins, and see if that makes a difference?

You can check if there is extra html near the wpsl shortcode by switching to text mode in the admin editor.

WAIT! regarding the preformatted text, you where ABSOLUTELY right, dont know how, but the text shortcode was inside pre tags, which i dont even know what it is preformatted too on my site, so thanks for that.
The problem still persists, but at least the font looks nice now.`

regarding other plugins using google maps, i dont think i do, the only thing that could be interfeering is 2 plugins i got to geolocate BUT none of them are present or being used on that page store locator…

    Thread Starter andresmolina

    (@andresmolina)

The weird thing is that .. if it where a plugin interfeering with your plugin, it will happen ALLWAYS, and as i mentioned above, it just happens when using enter key from the search box instead of the search button… MOREOVER i did some tests, and i can see it happens with any country not just egypt, you can use SPAIN to test, where I have 3 (one in portugal) shops and if i use enter key in the search box it shows 6… regardless of the number of results to show which is set to 3 by default.. letting me understand that even showing 6 (3 duplicates) it just counts it as 3

It works just fine when GEOLOCALIZING (im based in spain) and if load the page it will detect my location and show the correct amount of stores, with no duplications, it is JUST when using the search box and the enter key instead of the search button…

and by the way, thanks SO MUCH for dedicating this time to help me.

Which browser are you using? If I search for Spain I get three unique results.
