Duplicating posts

    I had big trouble with duplicate posts. In the end uninstalling the plugin “Feedwordpress advanced filters” helped.

    In my case the duplicates where always created from the first new post in the aggregated feed. It was copied as many times, as new items in the feed where present. ??
    So if I got 10 new items, the first item was copied 11 times, but only 1 time it was recognized as an syndicated post, all other posts looked like regular posts.

    Maybe I can help solve the problem, but maybe it just happened to me.

    I think I found the problem.
    I had two filters active at the same time:
    – HTML filter (only Search in Title, Search in Excerpt, Search in Content: all three active)
    – image filter (only Remove images from excerpt activ, Resize image to “No resize”)
    and the filter processing setting : Only excute filters for all feeds (ignore per feed settings)

    With this settings my feed content gets duplicated. ??

    Oh, the solution seems to be, not to filter HTML and remove pictures at the same time.

    Weird, that should not lead to duplicated posts. Although I myself have problems that every now and then a post is duplicated ( still don’t know way ). Probably it conflicts with FWP detection if a post is already indexed or not.

    Happy it’s fixed though.
