I’m building a business directory website where each post (business listing – CPT) has meta fields, taxonomy terms, and a (GeoMyWp) location.

I need to deliver the site in 12 languages, so I’m cloning/duplicating each translation from the original to ensure it has the necessary meta etc. attached.

I’ve tried many “duplicate page/post” plugins but so far I have not had any success in cloning the location data with the post – ie. the cloned post is missing its location.

Could you give me any feedback on this – why the location data might not be getting copied, and what I might do make it happen?

    Hello @aljuk,

I’ve found a different way to my goal, so I’ll close this thread.

May I ask how you managed to do that? Have you managed to import the location of a post using an importer plugin?

    Hi @ninjew

The different way to my goal was to change my goal (haha) – I’ve gone with automatic Google translation and ditched the idea of doing it manually – I don’t need it with the kinds of listings I’m doing (more data than description), so the problem no longer exists for me at this time.

But to answer the gist of your question re. the map data, no I didn’t have success with cloning posts and having that data copy to the new post. I tried in a number of different ways, with several of the clone page type plugins from the repo. It would be really useful, obviously.
