It is much better to have a single, well maintained plugin that utilizes the hosting environment, than multiple plugins for different optimizations. We use binaries for minification and image optimization, NGINX for caching, etc. Other optimization plugins are overlapping functionality which adds overhead to your site and furthermore they are all designed to work on every host out there which generaly leeds to slower performance. All my test show that the SG Optimizer provides the best performance on the SiteGround servers.
