Duplicator – from localhost to live site

    Hi,
    Could anybody help me. I am not a programmer, but if I can get the instructions, I put the code snippet in place.

    I have transfered my website to the production server and it is live now.

    But I think I have to fix something, because I got the notice from Duplicator after installing.
    “GENERAL NOTICES
    The following is a list of notices that may need to be fixed in order to finalize your setup. These values should only be investigated if your running into issues with your site. For more details see the WordPress Codex.

    WP-CONFIG NOTICE: The wp-config.php has one or more of the following values set [WP_CONTENT_DIR, WP_CONTENT_URL, WPCACHEHOME, COOKIE_DOMAIN, WP_SITEURL, WP_HOME, WP_TEMP_DIR]. Please validate these values are correct by opening the file and checking the values.”

    WP_TEMP_DIR is ok. now. I found the solution by google search and now I can install plugins again.
    What about those other?

  • Hey @tuulaa,

    As long as your not experiencing any issues on your site you can typically ignore the notice. All those values WP_CONTENT, etc… are in the wp-config.php file. If your having issues then you will need to check the values and make sure they are correct. The codex will help guide you as to what most should be.

    Thanks, but I have issues on my site and I have tried to check wp-config.php file and the codex. That is actually my problem, I don′t know how those values have to be. The codex doesn’t tell what are the right values. Well maybe this is difficult to find out this issue online, isn’t it.

    What kind of issues are you having on your site, can you explain them? Which of these values are present in your wp-config.php file?

    WP_CONTENT_DIR, WP_CONTENT_URL, WPCACHEHOME, COOKIE_DOMAIN, WP_SITEURL, WP_HOME, WP_TEMP_DIR

    and what are there values?

    Sory, I misunderstood your first answer. I haven’t notice any issues so far, but I am little bit nervous about those values. They are missing, is it ok.?
    Here they are
    WP_CONTENT_DIR missing
    WP_CONTENT_URL missing
    WPCACHEHOME missing
    COOKIE_DOMAIN missing
    WP_SITEURL that is ok
    WP_HOME that is ok
    WP_TEMP_DIR that is ok

    If they are missing that is going to be OK, if they are filling in wrong that is where you can have issues…
