Duplicator not working…

I am trying to use Duplicator to transfer my site to a new domain — During the scan, it only gives me a total size and large files warning. Then, when I click “build”, I get an error message:

Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error
Error Message:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I then checked the log, which doesn’t tell me much – the only warning I see is: WARNING: Unable to zip directory: ‘/home/content/44/11444444/html/testsite’

I contacted godaddy and asked about their timeout settings. They advised me that I add a php5.ini file, which I did, but does not help. I have been playing around with this for hours trying to figure out the problem and solution — so frustrating. Can anyone please provide some insight on what is going on?
