Duplicator Not working on Webfaction Hosting

    Hello,

    Hope you are all well.

    I am trying to clone a live WordPress site so I can add some changes. This cannot be on a local machine as I need others to view and work on it so I am creating a sub domain site on my Webfaction hosting.

    I have created a WordPress site on a subdomain. I have installed Duplicator on the live site and have backed it up and downloaded the 2 files. I have FTP’d them to my host and ran the Installer.php file. Duplicator ran (it said successfully) but when I try and access the link to update the Permalinks I get a code error and no website. Same also if I just go to the root of the submdomain.

    Does anyone have any issues with Duplicator on Live Hosting and not local machines?

  • What kind of error are you getting. You may have to do some external configurations to make sure your web server can still server of the sub-domain correctly…
