• I realized that when I set the duration of an appointment to be more than the value of
“Show appointment start times every: …” , the front end shows “There are no available appointment types”.
For example if I set “Show appointment start times every: …” to 30minutes, and I set the duration of that appointment to be more than 30minutes e.g 90minutes then it shows “There are no available appointment times”.

    Hello @funyin!

I just recreated this issue in my settings. This looks like a bug in our system. Our developers are going to take a look at this and have a fix released soon.

We appreciate you letting us know, and we’ll keep you updated ??
    Thanks,
    Natalie G

Hi @funyin thanks for reporting the issue! We’ve just released a fix in Simply Schedule Appointments v1.3.8.6. Please update to that version and let us know if the issue is fixed for you!

Note: after updating, please edit the appointment type again and adjust your availability (just add a time slot, remove it again, and save – or just switch back to “availability blocks” and then back to “start times” again). This is a one-time step that will ensure that your database gets updated properly.

You may need to force WP to “check for updates” or try a few hours from now since we just made the release available a couple minutes ago.

Thank you very much. The update fixed the issue partially.

After following your procedure to update the database multiple times I noticed that when the value of “How would you like to define your availability for this appointment type?” is “Specific start times” the issue is fixed, but when it is “Available blocks”, then I still get the same error as described before.

Hey @funyin I think it might be confusion between the two settings: availability blocks and start dates. Just to clarify, with Availability Blocks, you’d say you’re available 9am-5pm and any appointment that fits entirely within that time will be available to book. Whereas start times just lets you choose the start time (regardless of an appointment’s duration).

I think the behavior you’re expecting is consistent with “start times” and that’s the setting you probably want to use.

If you believe you’re still seeing a bug with Availability Blocks, please email our pro support team – support@simplyscheduleappointments.com – with some details/screenshots of your appointment type’s settings. We’d like to take a look and resolve any remaining bugs!

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Oh I see, I understand now. ?? I should have read the documentation very well. You are right I’ll go with the start times.

It is a very wonderful plugin in all with a very modern design. I am definitely giving you a five star review. Thank you so much for the hard work poured into this project.??
