    Hi,

Maybe I am mistaken but the Dutch (NL) translations seem to be broken/missing from the plug-in. They:

    1) Aren’t working anymore for us

    2) Aren’t in the languages folder anymore and I can trace them back untill at least a revision from 17 months ago. Is that normal? Have they been removed on purpose and moved to another file?

My WordPress administrator and profile settings both are in Dutch, as checked per documentation.

We were able to fix it by downloading the files from https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/ – then renaming and uploading the files to the plug-ins languages folder.

After looking into it it appeared so that the Premium version did include the the missing language files, while the free version states Dutch is also included and should include it.

Thanks in advance for looking into it!

    Hi @artifexmedia,

Our plugin is available in?Dutch?(nl_NL, and nl_NL_formal), but for another Dutch locale (e.g.?nl_BE), you’ll need to download the translation files from Dutch (nl_NL), and?manually install it in your site, as you already did, or even better, use the Dutch (nl_NL) as fallback. There is a great plugin to help you with this:?Language Fallback

After installing the plugin, you just need to go to?Settings > General, find the?Language Fallback Settings?and choose?Nederlands:

    Hi @yordansoares,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I will rephrase my question/issue; my WordPress (installations, since I tried on 2) is in nl_NL, but the plug-in won’t translate/show the nl_NL language and I do not see the nl_NL language files in the plug-in’s languages folder, I am not using a different language such as “Nederlands (Belgi?)” or something similar:

Since nl_NL language files are not included in the plug-in (see source code of plug-in) and WordPress “Nederlands” is nl_NL they fail, at least for me/us, unless, downloaded ourselves as told.

So, what am I doing wrong? I have never had this issue before and all of our websites have always been “Nederlands” (nl_NL) – a default WP language, while using this plug-in.

    Thanks!

You are not seeing a language pack for Dutch (nl_NL) within the plugin files, because locales with more than 90% of translated strings, or with a generated language pack, are managed directly by translate.wordpres.org.

I wonder if maybe you have pending translation updates. You can check this under Dashboard > Updates > Translations (Vertalingen, in Dutch):

@yordansoares Seems logical indeed! Thanks for the information.

And indeed, you are indeed correct, never thought of that.
Problem solved, thanks hero of the week ??

I’m glad to hear that you are seeing the PDF documents in Dutch now!

If you don’t mind and have the time, do you think you could leave us a review?

Thanks in advance and all the best with your store!
